Semester Off is an innovative, group-based, educational enrichment program which has been changing the lives of 17-25 year-olds since 2015. Their mission is to create a life-changing experience that empowers each student either to complete college or to define another, alternative path which is more in line with his/her/their talents, future goals, and objectives.

The Center has provided innovative University mental health programs since 2000. Individualized services, on-campus programs and courses as well as distance learning opportunities, all aim to promote well-being, resilience, and academic success for students living with mental health conditions. Over the years, we have had the pleasure of working with hundreds of diverse, bright, talented students who are living with emerging mental health challenges and substance use conditions including thought disorders, affective disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, and addictions. We operate on the premise that all students thrive when their wellness and resiliency skills support their academic, social, and work lives. We believe in recovery from mental health and substance use conditions, and the power of peers, mentoring, collaboration, mutuality, and inclusive communities.
