Officer William Walker
Officer Walker has gone above and beyond for his dedication towards Crisis Intervention and Mental Health incidents. He exemplifies the principles of CIT; recognition, communication, de-escalation and community engagement. Officer Walker's professionalism, dedication and compassion make him imminently deserving of recognition by the Norfolk County CIT/TTAC and the Brookline Police Department.
Franklin Police Department
Officer Tara Lagoa
Officer Lagoa as exhibited a high degree of professionalism, compassion and skill assisting those we protect and serve in crisis. She is a current member of the Metrolec Peer Support Team and has responded to outside agencies to assist officers deal with work related trauma and critical incidents. Officer Lagoa was recognized by Deputy Chief Dennis Linehan of Avon for her efforts organizing the support efforts at the following Peer Support Team meeting.

Officer Frasca's response to calls for service involving vulnerable community members or those suffering from mental health issues consistently reflects an approach demonstrated in the Crisis Intervention Model. He has been effective in his approach to interacting with persons in crisis.

Sergeant David Foscaldo
Sgt. Foscaldo has been Foxborough's go to guy for mental health issues involving members of the Foxborough Community. He has helped numerous people in 2021 get the help and services they need through his training, demeanor, and patience.

Officer Kristina Conary
Officer Conary's commitment to developing her knowledge, abilities, and preparedness through specialized Crisis Intervention Training has served the Newton Community. Officer Conary has earned this recognition by proving her excellence through extraordinary performance out in the street and strategically in CCIT where it counts.
Sharon Police Department
Officer George Demeris
Officer Demeris is being recognized for conducting a lifesaving de-escalation effort with a child making irrational statements regarding how he wanted to die and the reasons for it. The four negotiators present credited Officer Demeris' actions with not only ensuring the child's safety but it allowed a best resolution to a very difficult situation. His actions portrayed the best our department has to offer in peaceful resolutions to dangerous situations.

Sergeant Brown has consistently taken the lead when dealing with students who are experiencing a mental health crisis. His approach and dedication to de-escalate with empathy and compassion has improved the outcome for students who are dealing with mental illness.

Officer Slavin is one of Walpole's first Crisis Intervention officers. Her dedication to support and assist those with mental health illness has positively impacted the Walpole Community. Officer Slavin has shown the ability to utilize the crisis intervention training in her day-to-day operations efficiently and effectively.

Officer Sullivan has shown tremendous dedication to the Community of Dedham. His training in the administration of Nasal Naloxone and Crisis Intervention has positively impacted the community as well as provide further training/resources for other Officers within the Dedham Police Department.

Lieutenant Heslin was able to recognize a student who was experiencing a behavioral/mental health crisis. The skills he obtained throughout his years of training in de-escalation and crisis intervention played a significant role in the outcome for this student.

Officer David Forte
Officer Forte is the first ever Community Outreach Officer in Needham. His dedication to attend training's has positively impacted individuals within his community who suffer with mental illness. His willingness to listen and understand how to better assist those dealing with mental illness has allowed him to provide the proper resources.
Newton Police Department
Sergeant Brian Tramontozzi
Sergeant Tramontozzi is being recognized for conducting a lifesaving de-escalation effort with an armed individual attempting suicide by cop. The crisis intervention training he received provided him with the skills to recognize that this individual was attempting a suicide by cop.
Weymouth Police Department
Officer Jennifer Pompeo
Officer Pompeo has shown great dedication to her community by establishing partnerships with non-profits and conducting quarterly Drug Addiction Resource Team meetings. Her ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy with the families who are dealing with substance use has helped get resources to the people dealing directly with substance abuse disorders.

Officer Joseph Brooks
Officer Brooks has shown his dedication to de-escalate and prevent a tragic event that could have occurred in his community. By recognizing and using the skills he learned at the crisis intervention training; Officer Brooks was able to conduct a lifesaving de-escalation effort with an armed individual attempting suicide by cop.
Norwood Police Department
Officer Gregory Shore
Officer Gregory has gone above and beyond when following up on calls concerning Norwood residents who have mental illness. He makes it a mission to stay in touch with these individuals long term to ensure that they continue to receive adequate resources. Officer Shore now presents at Crisis Intervention Training's and is a certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor.

Officer John Jennings
Officer Jennings has exemplified the principles of Crisis Intervention Training. He is among the earliest Brookline Police Officers to receive CIT training. His efforts have led to him establishing relationships with many of the individuals and families he works with. His calm demeanor and willingness to go above and beyond his assigned duties greatly benefit the Brookline Police Department and the Brookline Community.
